| Saturday June 1 from 10 am in Sidmouth Parish Church (concert at 7.30 pm) Isca Ensemble, conductor Roger Hendry Special all-day orchestral workshop culminating in a concert at 7.30 p.m. Programme will include: Dvorak: Symphony no.8 Wagner : Overture 'Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and hopefully a new composition by Gordon Langford. | Tuesday June 4 at 7 pm and Wednesday June 5 at 8.30 pm at the Cygnet Theatre, Exeter 3rd Stage Company, with Bethan Scolding - piano Excerpts from "Piano Moves" Short studies of choreography to solo piano music. The choreography is inspired by contemporary composition and features music by Ed Scolding, Ashley James Turner and William Bower, three very influential modern day composers, as well as several more compositions from Debussy, Schumann, Sculthorpe and Tiersen. The dancers come from a variety of backgrounds including Rambert, London Contemporary and Royal Ballet and the dancing will be contemporary based with a classical twist showing romance, troubles and pure interpretations.
